The ZSA is…

The ZSA (Zombie Slayers Association) has yet to meet any actual zombies (this area is not particularly known for its zombie population), but that does not stop them from preparing for the impending doom of the Zombie Apocalypse. They have even gone so far as to dig a trench for battle. I find this a rather ominous sign. Furthermore, this particular association can only have seven
members and seven only. This is because of the little-known fact that zombies are drawn to groups of eight or more and six people are not enough to destroy an army of the undead. Traditionally, slayers are the hunters not the hunted, so they do not want to draw zombies to them whenever they decide to meet. Also, zombies are more inclined to eat people like us rather than normal humans, but at places such as my school we are immensely well protected, and as I have stated before there are practically no zombies in this area of the world. Most of us, with the exception of the over-enthused ZSA are not worried at all.

  • Kiri- She is an artistic free-spirited soul. She is a pixie with an extreme fondness for ninja tactics. I call her a Ninjippie (ninja-hippie). In other words, a living paradox. I call her a ninjippie, not because she does drugs or anything like that (if I saw her any more hyper than she already is, I would be extremely scared), but because she likes that kind of music, calls herself a pacifist, wears flowers and other such hippie things (even food), and she colors on herself and her clothing.
    • Kiri stared at her brand new set of ninja stars. Her color stained hands stroked the smooth cool metal, and she muttered, "Not cool, man." Her fingers anxiously twitched in anticipation as her eyes searched for her supplies. She artfully began embellishing her ninja stars in what one might call a hippie motif. She proudly carries then in a pocket in the front of her backpack.
  • Kevin- He is a wizard with an amusing sense of humor. I am quite sure it is impossible to spend any time around him without smiling at least five times. He prefers to use levitation techniques when pranking and attacking zombies.
    • In the not too distant past, I was eating my lunch as I normally do, when a flash of blue light lightly impacted my head. I looked up for a moment and realized it was a wayward energy orb from a wizard duel. Kevin and Adam had wanted to practice their skills against each other (or at least that's what I suppose because there wasn't any maliciousness behind the attacks, and they only used practice orbs, which are about a lethal as a paintball. I suppose that if you really wanted to know what was going on you could ask Kevin or Adam, or maybe even Erynne 'cause she's a mind reader). Well, anyways, Kevin and Adam were both posed in what one might call a ninja stance. Then Kevin jumped into the air and kicked out with his left leg. A blue light gathered at the tip of his foot and during the apex of his kick it shot out towards Adam. The orb managed to hit the shoulder of its target, but not before Adam had a chance to fling his own green energy orb back at Kevin, who was not expecting a counter-attack. At the very last possible second Kevin lunged to the side, but alas, he too was hit. The green orb grazed his stomach and continued on to hit the wall behind him. I glanced around to see who else was watching the ensuing battle. Hardly anybody else paid any attention. The epic mock battle wasn't all that unexpected or out of character for the two participating parties. Suddenly, they stopped. All of the color stained spots in the room, including my hair disappeared as the magic faded, and both Kevin and Adam suddenly stopped and ran back to their seats.
  • Bryson- He is a super who is good at everything. When he sees something he wants to do badly enough, he can do it perfectly.
    • Bryson has a very different sort of weakness. I was minding my business, as usual, when I saw Bryson, who was wearing a rather flamboyant red cape (I wish I had a cape), shrink away in fear from Christian. Christian had discovered Bryson's major weakness, classical literature, namely Moby Dick. He sank into the ground covering his ears from the fear of hearing the hated words of the quite excessive Moby Dick. His whimpering voice almost convinced me that he wasn't all that super, but my mind slipped back to a few minutes earlier when he was dodging and catching actual bullets. His shiny red cape proved an impenetrable force.
  • Katelyn- is another wizard, and one of her favorite things to do is mess with Kevin (among other people). They are always attacking each other (if it can be called attacking). Her strengths are mainly in the metaphysical fields, but her wand can throw a powerful wallop to any attacking Zombie.
    • I had heard the stories of the chairs, but I had seen and sat in them before and nothing had happened. Apparently, these two chairs were haunted, but I never noticed anything. People even named the ugly orange and ugly green colored chairs. One day while we were supposed to be reading, I turned to look at the clock, and I saw Katelyn on one of the chairs. She was talking, but I didn't see anybody listening. Nobody was close enough to clearly hear her words. She oddly leaned to the side of the chair. I got up to blow my ever-runny nose and heard a strange un-human voice answer her back. I nearly jumped out of my kakis. A flash of light peered in through the windows. Lightning. Quite spooky, don't you think? Katelyn noticed me and laughed. She explained that she liked to animate the chairs to freak the younger kids out. She had been telling the chair what to do.
  • Cayden- is fae and superhero, but his fae side is much more predominant. He isn't an exact werewolf, but he's really close. He is extremely mischievous (think over-grown puppy), and normally gets into one scrape or another.

  • Ashley-

  1. I really relate with a few of the characters, except for Kevin. I really hope you keep writing and that you finish this great work of art.
